Merry ChristmasDECEMBER 2008 - CHRISTMAS CLOSURE
We will be closing from Tuesday the 23rd of December 2008, and will re-open on Monday the 12th of January 2008.

JUNE 2008 - MetalsSOME RELIEF IN METAL PRICES
Reducing energy prices and less demand has seen some relief in metal prices, with zinc and aluminium prices dropping slightly.

Be assured that we are passing on any reduction that we receive from the metal companies.

 

 

Lani RiggFEBRUARY 2008 - NEW ADDITION
The newest member of the AMAC team was born on February 1st 2008. Lani, daughter to our General Manager Mark Rigg, weighed in at 11lb 3oz. Mum and Baby are both doing very well.

 

 

 

 

MY ApoiseJANUARY 2008 - AMAC SUPPLIES MEGA YACHT
AMAC material was used to cathodically protect the MY Apoise - one of the largest Yachts in the world! The material was supplied to the yacht during its visit to Melbourne for the Australian Open in January.

polly woodsideJULY 2007 - POLLY WOODSIDE, AMAC & ACC
AMAC, along with Australasian Corrosion Consultants have taken up the monitoring of the Cathodic Protection System for the Polly Woodside in Melbourne. The Melbourne Maritime Museum is currently being transformed as part of the development of Australia's largest, most comprehensive convention centre and exhibition precinct. It is due to re-open in 2009, until then, the Polly Woodside is open for external viewing, so get down and check her out.

spark gapMAY 2007 - ISOLATING SPARK GAP

We are now stocking isolating spark gaps with flexible connecting cable for explosive zones. We are stocking the Dehn and Sohne Model EXFS L300. Please click here for a data sheet. April 2007 - ZINC RIBBON STOCK
We are now stocking large quantities of zinc ribbon (12x14mm). This zinc ribbon is to the Z2 specification (which can be found here), and has many uses. Ribbon can be purchased in full rolls (152 mtrs), cut rolls, or it can cut to desired length and cable spliced in our factory. See data sheet for more information. We can also supply all your ribbon connection needs (Parallel Groove Clamps, Lugs, Braids).

 

 



3/3/07 - MARK GETS MARRIED
On Saturday 3rd March 2007, Mark and Danielle Rigg tied the knot at The Twisted Vine in Silvan. Congratulations to Mark and Danni, and we wish them a long and happy life together.

 

 

 


8/12/06 - AMAC CHRISTMAS PARTY
The AMAC Christmas party was held at the Cuckoo Restaurant in Olinda last night. A great night was had by all, especially listening to Mark's Yodelling, and Helen's cow bell ringing!! A big thanks to the crew at the Cuckoo for a fantastic night.

 

 

1/12/06 - 2006 CHRISTMAS CLOSURE
AMAC will be closed for business from 4:30pm on Thursday 21st December and will re-open at 8am on Monday 8th January 2007. Full production will resume on Monday 15th January 2007. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and safe and Happy New Year! Thank you for your support this year, and we look forward to talking to you in 2007!


 

25/07/06 - AMAC SUPPORTS HISTORIC VESSEL
AMAC has donated anodes to protect the MV Cape Don while it is being restored. When restored, the vessel (which is an endorsed public museum) will be open to the public in Sydney Harbour.
MV Cape Don was built in 1963, one of a unique class of ships purpose-built to service navigational aids (including manned lighthouses) primarily around the West Australian coastline. For more info, please go to: www.mvcapedonsociety.org.au

 

13/2/06 - MARK RIGG TO REPRESENT VICTORIA
AMAC's Mark Rigg will represent the mighty Victoria at this years Australian Open Men's National Fastpitch Softball Championships.
The John Reid Shield will be held in Sydney from March 5th - 11th.
This will be the 4th consecutive year that Mark has been a member of the Victorian team. Victoria have won this tournament for the past 2 years, so good luck to Mark and the Victorian team.

 

10/2/06 - ZINC AND ALUMINIUM PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE
Soaring energy prices, greater worldwide demand, and mining strikes - these are just some of the factors that are pushing the price of aluminium and zinc higher and higher.

Be assured that we are doing our best to keep our prices as low as we possibly can.

 

8/2/06 - AMAC MATERIAL USED IN VOLVO OCEAN RACE 
AMAC material was used on the Pirates of the Caribbean boat taking place in the Volvo around the world ocean race. The material was supplied to the boat during the recent stop over in Melbourne in February.
