Carbonaceous Backfill
	DESCRIPTION
	Carbonaceous Backfill also known as Coke Breeze is calcined carbon. It is used to surround impressed current anodes to improve the efficiency of the anode.
	APPLICATION(S)
	Backfill can be pumped or poured around the anode during installation, the backfill must be well mixed to create a slurry, before completing the total backfilling of the excavation. Impressed current anodes are also available pre-packaged in carbonaceous backfill, inside canisters. For more information, refer to the silicon iron anode page.
	TECHNICAL INFORMATION
